Frequently Asked Questions
What leaders want to know before they reach out.
What does Dunkhase Leadership Consulting do?
I help companies define and embed a shared understanding of effective leadership in the age of AI. Anchored in business practice and informed by the St. Gallen Management Model. I work primarily with executive teams and HR, because leadership sits at the intersection of business and people. I support integration into day-to-day leadership practice through leadership training, workshops, virtual and AI-enabled formats, typically delivered as in-house programs. Core areas include: leadership development programs, executive coaching, top team development, keynotes.
Who hires you and for what occasions?
I work with mid-sized and large enterprises. Common triggers include leadership programs during growth or transformation, 1:1 executive sparring at the board level, C-suite alignment initiatives, integrating AI into existing leadership structures, and conflict management for difficult conversations. Clients are often executive teams and HR working together: the executives because leadership is a business question; HR because they roll programs out across the organization and sustain them over time. All programs are tailored to each client's values, leadership principles, and strategic goals. Industries include automotive, mechanical engineering, chemicals, banking and insurance, and IT/telecommunications, among others.
What's the difference between leadership training and leadership development?
Leadership training is the delivery format: the individual modules where leaders practice, apply, and reflect. Leadership development is the broader container: a multi-module program over several months that combines training with coaching, virtual formats, and AI-enabled companions (Leader's Sidekicks®). The goal isn't a one-off “aha” moment in the seminar room, but sustained change in day-to-day leadership practice. An effective program typically includes 3–4 modules, each lasting 2–3 days, supported by practice between modules.
What is the St. Gallen Management Model?
An integrative management framework that organizes companies across six layers: vision and purpose, corporate governance and policy, strategy and business model, structure and organization, leadership, and culture and transformation. Developed at the University of St. Gallen by Hans Ulrich, Walter Krieg, and Fredmund Malik. My approach is grounded in six years at the Malik Management Zentrum St. Gallen, where I learned systems-oriented management from the ground up. Combined with AI integration, it now serves as the methodological foundation for effective leadership in the age of AI. More on Leading with AI.
What sets your European approach apart?
I work within a European values framework: transparency, data sovereignty, and human-centered AI. My technology stack prioritizes European providers. All AI-powered tools, including Leader's Sidekicks®, run on EU-based infrastructure and comply with GDPR and the EU AI Act. For organizations operating across Europe, or working with European partners, this is becoming increasingly important: technical execution and ethical standards can’t be separated from the regulatory environment.
How does a collaboration typically begin?
It starts with a 30-minute virtual conversation. You share your context: your company, leadership challenges, and goals. I share initial thoughts on how I might help. No commitment and no sales pitch. From there, I develop a tailored proposal based on your business needs and budget. Many engagements start with a single module or pilot workshop and grow into multi-year programs.
What are Leader's Sidekicks?
Leader's Sidekicks® are AI-based leadership companions I’ve developed. They’re built on a structured, systems-based architecture (not ad hoc prompting) and work with established coaching models and management concepts. In my programs, they serve as tools for transfer into practice: leaders use them to prepare difficult conversations, for reflection and decision support in day-to-day situations. They are GDPR-compliant and hosted on EU servers.
